16:5 alarmed; (c-25) The Greek word embraces, I think, the complex idea expressed by both 'amazed' and 'alarmed.' The second time it is used I have given the latter only, as sufficiently recalling the idea. The word occurs only here and in chs. 9.15; 14.33.
