4. return food, διὰ ῥινῶν, εἰς τὰς ῥῖνας, Herod.Med. in Rh.Mus. 58.86, 90 and 96, cf. Aret. SA 1.6.

Nigr. 35. Medic., take effect, ἀνακόπτει γὰρ οὕτως ἡ ὠφέλεια Herod.Med. in Rh.Mus. 58.92 (fort. διακ., cf. SIG 1170.16).
ἀνακόπτω: 1 aorist ἀνέκοψα; to beat back, check (as the course of a ship, Theophrastus, char. 24 (25), 1 (variant)). τινα followed by an infinitive (A. V. hinder), Galatians 5:7 Rec., where the preceding ἐτρέχετε shows that Paul was thinking of an obstructed road; cf. ἐγκόπτω.

P Flor I. 368.3 (early iv/A.D.) crimes ὑφ᾽ οὐδενὸς ἄλλου ἀνακόπτεται, but by the punishment of the criminal; a similar connotation probably may be recognised in the fragmentary P Giss I. 87.10 (ii/A.D.) . .] παραγγέλλειν ἀνακοπῆναι [. ., from what the scanty context suggests. So also in P Théad 19.16 (iv/A.D.) δέομαι τῆς σῆς ἀρε [τῆ ]ς κελεῦσαι. . . τὴν παιδιὰν τῆς γυναικὸς ἀνακοπῆναι δι᾽ οὖ εὐδοκιμάσῃς. The word obviously does not encourage us to approve the few cursives that show it in Galatians 5:7.
