Psalms 110

   |

The LORD Gives Dominion to the King.

A Psalm of David.

1 (C1)The LORD (Father) says to my Lord (the Messiah, His Son),
"(C2)Sit at My right hand
Until I make (C3)Your enemies a footstool for Your feet subjugating them into complete submission." (VR1)

2 The LORD will send the (C1)scepter of Your strength from Zion, saying,
"(C2)Rule in the midst of Your enemies." (VR1)

3 Your (C1)people will offer themselves willingly to participate in Your battle in the day of Your power;
(C2)In the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,
Your young men are to You as the (C3)dew.

4 (C1)The LORD has sworn an oath and will not (C2)change His mind:
"(F1)You are a (C3)priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek." (VR1)

5 The LORD is (C1)at Your right hand,
He (F1)will (C2)crush kings in the (C3)day of His wrath.

6 He will (C1)execute judgment in overwhelming punishment among the nations;
He will fill them with (C2)corpses,
He will (C3)crush the chief men over a broad country. (VR1)

7 He will (C1)drink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will (C2)lift up His head triumphantly.
