The Scroll with Seven Seals

1 I saw in the right hand of Him who was (C1)seated on the throne a (C2)scroll written on the inside and on the back, closed and (C3)sealed with seven seals. (VR1)2 And I saw a (C1)strong angel announcing with a loud voice, "Who is worthy having the authority and virtue to open the scroll and to (F1)break its seals?"3 And no one (C1)in heaven or on earth or under the earth in Hades, the realm of the dead was able to open the scroll or look into it.4 And I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look into it.5 Then one of the twenty-four elders said to me, "Stop weeping! Look closely, the (C1)Lion (C2)of the tribe of Judah, the (C3)Root of David, has overcome and conquered! He can open the scroll and break its seven seals." (VR1)

6 And there (F1)between the throne (with the four living creatures) and among (C1)the elders I saw a (C2)Lamb (Christ) standing, bearing scars and wounds as though it had been (C3)slain, with seven (C4)horns (complete power) and with (C5)seven eyes (complete knowledge), which are (F2)(C6)the seven Spirits of God who have been sent on duty into all the earth. (VR1)7 And He came and (F1)took (C1)the scroll from the right hand of Him who (C1)sat on the throne.8 And when He had taken the scroll, the (C1)four living creatures and the (C2)twenty-four elders (C3)fell down before the (C4)Lamb (Christ), each one holding a (C5)harp and (C6)golden bowls full of fragrant incense, which are the (C7)prayers of the saints (God's people).9 And they sang a (C1)new song of glorious redemption, saying,

"(C2)Worthy and deserving are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were (C3)slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You (C4)purchased people for God from (C5)every tribe and language and people and nation. (VR1)

10 "You have made them to be a (C1)kingdom of royal subjects and (C1)priests to our God; and they will (C2)reign on the earth." (VR1)

Angels Exalt the Lamb

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels (C1)around the throne and the voice of the (C2)living creatures and the (C3)elders; and they numbered (C4)myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands (innumerable), (VR1)12 saying in a loud voice,

"(C1)Worthy and deserving is the (C2)Lamb that was (C2)sacrificed to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."

13 And I heard (C1)every created thing that is in heaven or on earth or under the earth in Hades, the realm of the dead or on the sea, and everything that is in them, saying together,

"To Him who (C2)sits on the throne, and to the (C3)Lamb (Christ), be (C4)blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." (VR1)

14 And the (C1)four living creatures kept saying, "(C2)Amen." And the (C3)elders (C4)fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
