Paul is talking out of experience in these words. That’s why they mean so much. It is useless to talk about Christ’s power, unless back of the words there is the actual experience that knows that that power is real, dependable. Paul believed Jesus; he squared his life to Jesus’ teaching. That is why he could do all things in Jesus’ strength. Jesus’ strength was in Paul. Paul did things, but the power was from Jesus.
