BLESSED COMMONPLACE
Luke 2:39-52
What, is there uncommon about those Nazareth years? Just this: they weren’t uncommon. Jesus lived the simple, common life of the average man of all the race, so far as outer circumstance goes. This was the Father’s plan. So he came into closest sympathy with all men. And so he put the in- tensest emphasis on living as the chiefest thing in life, just living, true and pure and gentle, in the common round, and in the Father’s recognized presence.
