After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 1 Corinthians 15:6-8.

The Savior was seen not only by the chosen apostles and foreordained witnesses of His resurrection, but by all who loved His manifestation and would make sure of His life and His grace; who waited for Him, and put all their trust in Him. This must inspire you with the confidence that He most assuredly will not disappoint you any more than them, if you seek Him earnestly. The eyes of the Lord are upon the earth and look into all hearts now as then. If at that time He saw and found the hearts of the five hundred brethren who longed for Him; if He could not let them languish without consolation. He now also sees you and finds you, if you long for Him. He will assuredly grant you the comfort, joy and strength which you need for your salvation. If there were five thousand such hearts in the land, it would be all the dearer to Him to visit and gladden them all. He does not overlook a single one, not even you.

Be Thou our present joy, O Lord,

Who will be ever our reward:

And as the countless ages flee.

May all our glory be in Thee.
