Cun
Holman Bible Dictionary
(cyoon) Place name of city in Syria belonging to Hadadezer, king of Zobah. David took bronze from the city as tribute, and Solomon used the materials in furnishing the Temple (1 Chronicles 18:8 ). The parallel passage in 2 Samuel 8:8 reads, “Berothai.” The two are apparently separate cities, Cun being northeast of Byblos and Berothai southeast of Byblos. Apparently, Cun was more familiar to the Chronicler's readers than Berothai. See Berothai.
