Hamonah
Holman Bible Dictionary
(huh moh' nuh) Place name meaning, “horde.” Town in valley of Hamon-gog where Israel would bury the defeated army of Gog (Ezekiel 39:16 ). The exact meaning and location of the city are not clear except that Ezekiel was determined that Israel would keep the land ritually pure in all circumstances. TEV, REB translate Hamonah as “nearby” or “great horde” and thus do not mention the city. See Ezekiel; Gog; Hamon-gog .
