Lasharon
Holman Bible Dictionary
(luh ssheh rohn) Place name meaning, “belonging to Sharon.” Listed as one of towns whose king Joshua killed in conquering Canaan (Joshua 12:18 ). The early Greek translators had great difficulty with the text, some Greek manuscripts omitting the verse altogether. L represents the Hebrew preposition “of, to, belonging to.” Sharon is the name of the plain in which the preceding town Aphek in the list is located. The original Hebrew text may have indicated Aphek in Sharon to distinguish it from other Apheks. See Aphek .
