Andrada, Antonio de
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
(1580-1634) Missionary, explorer of Tibet, born Oleiros, Portugal; died Goa, India. For four years he was the chief Jesuit missionary in the Indies. He succeeded in penetrating into Tibet, and establishing a mission at Chaparangue. Recalled to Goa, he became superior of the Indies and died for the Faith.
