(died c.665)Archbishop of Braga, Portugal. The son of a Gothic general, he studied at Palencia and later retired as a hermit to a desert in Galicia. He founded ten monasteries, including Complutum. Appointed Bishop of Dumium, 654, he received the Archbishopric of Braga, 656, and attended the synod of Toledo that same year. Represented in art with a stag which he had saved. Relics at Compostela.
