Gregory Vi - Anti-Pope
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Anti-pope, 1012. He was elected in opposition to Benedict VIII by a small Roman faction. Unable to establish himself in the see, he sought aid from King Henry II at Pohlde, Hanover. The latter forbade him to act as pope and promised to have his claim settled by canon law. Gregory then disappeared from history.
