Atmolysis
1911 Encyclopedia Britannica
(Gr. dTµos, vapour; May, to loosen), a term invented by Thomas Graham to denote the separation of a mixture of gases by taking advantage of their different rates of diffusion through a porous septum or diaphragm (see Diffusion) .
