Adeliah
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
the name which the followers of Ali (q.v.) among the Mohammedans take to themselves. The word denotes, in Arabic, the Sect of the Just, but the other Mohammedans call them Shiiah. (See SHIITES).
