Balustrade
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
is a range of small balusters supporting a coping or cornice, and forming a parapet or enclosure. Balustrum, a name sometimes applied to the chancel- rails, or cancelli (q.v.)
