Bessa Bernardinus de
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Franciscan who lived about 1270, and was the companion of St. Bonaventura. He composed a chronicle of the generals of his order, an abridgment of the Legend of St. Francis, etc.
