a Baptist minister, was born in Tennessee about 1816. He removed to Southern Illinois in 1852, united with the Church in 1854, and was ordained in 1856. The field of his labor was in that section of Illinois where he had taken up his residence. He was earnestly devoted to the propagation of the principles of his denomination.
