a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Baltimore County, Md., Oct. 18, 1800. He experienced religion in 1818, and in 1824 joined the Baltimore Conference. In 1841 he was transferred to the Missouri Conference, and preached faithfully until 1845, when he was appointed agent of the American Bible Society for the state of Missouri, in which office he continued until his death, March 7, 1853.
