Jr., a Baptist minister, was born in Maine about 1810, and was ordained as an evangelist in 1836, and in 1837 accepted a call to the pastorate of the Second Church in Addison, Me. He found the Church in a weak condition, but, by the blessing of God on his labors, it was greatly strengthened.
