Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born at Hopkinton, N. H., Feb. 20, 1794. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1817; was ordained deacon in 1818, priest in 1820; was consecrated in Christ Church, Philadelphia, Pa., Oct. 20, 1844, as bishop of New Hampshire, and died at his episcopal residence in Claremont, Jan. 18, 1870.
