Chisholm, Alexander C.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Maury County, Tennessee, February 8, 1811. He embraced religion in 1827, and in 1836 entered the Tennessee Conference, in which he labored until the formation of the Memphis Conference, when he became one of its. members. He died October 2, 1856. Mr. Chisholm. was a man of great excellence of character, a royal preacher, and an exemplary Christian. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M.E.
