an English clergyman and Latin poet, was born in the parish of St. Thomas, Salisbury, and was educated at Winchester School and New College, Oxford, where, in 1562, he was admitted a perpetual fellow. In June 1570, he became rector of Odcombe, and in 1594 was appointed prebendary in the cathedral of York.
