Croft, Sir Herbert (3)

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English clergyman, was born in London in 1751, and educated at University College, Oxford. He took orders in 1782, succeeded to a baronetcy in 1797, and died in 1816. His publications include, A Brother's Advice to his Sisters (1775): Love and Madness (1780): Fanaticism and Treason (eod.): The Literary Fly (eod.): and other works.
