Davies, James E.
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Presbyterian minister, was born in Mecklenburg County, N.C., October 20, 1787. He was converted in 1800; in 1818 removed to Illinois, and was licensed to preach by the Illinois Presbytery; became pastor at Hopedale, and died there, October 22, 1862. See Wilson, Presb. Hist.
