Davis, John R.
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Carteret County, N.C., in 1812. In 1837 he joined the Methodists; received license to exhort in 1841, to preach in 1843; and in 1845 entered the North Indiana Conference; in 1860 became superannuated, and died May 17, 1877.
