Drevet, Pierre Imbreh

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

was born at Paris in 1697. He is claimed by his countrymen to have been one of the greatest engravers of any age or country. He died at Paris in 1739. The following are some of his best works: Adam and Eve after their Transgression; Rebekah Receiving Abraham's Presents; The Holy Family; The Entry of Christ into Jerusalem; The Resurrection; The Presentation in the Temple; Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane.
