a Scotch Jesuit, was born at Aberdeen in 1553. He became a member of the Society of Jesus, and taught theology in the colleges of his order, at Toulouse and Bordeaux. Later in life he was appointed confessor to Louis XIII. He died at Paris, November 17, 1641.
