Guerin, Jean Baptiste Paulin

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a distinguished French painter of history and portraits, was born at Toulon, March 25, 1783. There are a number of fine historical pieces, by him, mostly of Scriptural subjects, in the churches of Paris. He was professor of painting to the Maison Royale de St. Denis.
