a Danish poet and preacher, was born July 26, 1766, at Oersloev, near Vordingborg. He was appointed bishop of Ribe in 1819, after having passed through all the decrees of the Church hierarchy. He died June 2, 1825, leaving, Det Befriede Jerach (in 18 cantos, Copenhagen, 1804): De Julio Firmico Materno (ibid. 1817): Predikener (ibid. 1830): Sind in den Buchern der Konige Spuren des Pentateuch und der Mosaischen Gesetze zufindena?
