a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Culmbach, in Franconia, December 25, 1570. He studied at Wittenberg, was preacher and teacher at different places, and died December 3, 1640, at Ansbach. He is the author of, Manuale Lexici Hebraici (Leipsic, 1617): Clavis Linguen Hebraece, etc. (Nuremberg, 1598, 1628): Compendiosa Institutio Grammatica Hebr. (Ansbach, 1607; Jena, 1623): Synopsis Institut. Hebr. (Leyden, 1642): Vindiciae Evangelicea: Vindiciae Apostolicae, etc. See Furst, Bibl Jud. 2:340; Jocher, Allgemeines Gelehrten-Lexikon, s.v.
