Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

is the name of the second of the four great schools or systems of Buddhism, the three others being called Vaibhashika, Madhyamika, and Yogachara. They recognize the authority of the Sutras (q.v.), but reject that of the Abhidharma.
