a minister of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, was born in the County of Antrim, Ireland. June 15, 1803. He removed with his father's family, in 1819, to Belmont County, O., and was afterwards educated in Franklin College, where he graduated in 1827. He studied theology under Dr. Black, of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Wylie, of Philadelphia. He was licensed to preach in 1832, and in the spring of 1835 was settled as pastor of the congregations of Brookland, North Washington, Union, Pine Creek, etc., Pa. In 1841 the charge was divided, and he remained as pastor at Brookland, North Washington, where he continued to labor until his death, which occurred April 19, 1843. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer.
