Mer of Clisson
The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia
French Talmudist of the first half of the thirteenth century. He is mentioned in an extract from "Pa'nea? Raza" (MS. Halberstam) on Genesis 2:23 as a Bible commentator. Gross takes him to be identical with Mer ben Baruch, who emigrated to Jerusalem in 1211 together with his brother the tosafist Joseph of Clisson and many other French rabbis.
