Rabbi of the second half of the seventeenth century; born in Safed, whence he removed to Italy. He was the author of "Sefer Ḥokmat ha-Mishkan," or "Iggeret Meleket ha-Mishkan," on the purposes of the Tabernacle (published with his edition of "Iggeret Mesapperet Yiḥusta de-Ẓaddiḳe de-'Ar'a de-Yisrael," on the sacred cities of Palestine; Mantua, 1676). He edited "Ḥibbur ha-Ma'asiyyot weha-Midrashot weha-Haggadot," a collection of tales and legends from the Talmud and the Midrash (Verona, 1647), and "Seder Mishmeret ha-Ḥodesh," a ritual for the day of new moon (Venice, 1661).
