Vocabulary of the Greek NT

P Giss I. 20.6 (ii/A.D.) ἡ ἐπιστολή σου τὴν [μέριμναν ? . . . ] που ἀπέτρεψεν [ . . . It is unfortunate that this solitary citation for a verb common in literature should have no reliable context; but it is something that the word itself seems clear, and occurs in a woman’s private letter, which proves it vernacular.
