גַּעַשׁ (“shaking,” “earthquake”) [Gaash], pr.n. of a mountain in Mount Ephraim, Joshua 24:30; Judges 2:9. Hence נַחֲלֵי גַעַשׁ “the valleys of Gaash,” those under the mountain, 2 Samuel 23:30; 1 Chronicles 11:32.
