For the choir director. A Davidic psalm. A song.

Praise is rightfully Yours,^[a] God, in Zion; vows to You will be fulfilled.^(a)

All humanity will come to You, the One who hears prayer.^(b)

Iniquities overwhelm me; only You can atone for^[b] our rebellions.^(c)

How happy is the one You choose and bring near to live in Your courts! We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, the holiness of Your temple.^[c](d)

You answer us in righteousness, with awe-inspiring works, God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the distant seas.^(e)

You establish the mountains by Your^[d] power, robed with strength.^(f)

You silence the roar of the seas, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the nations.^(g)

Those who live far away are awed by Your signs; You make east and west shout for joy.^(h)

You visit the earth and water it abundantly, enriching it greatly. God's stream is filled with water, for You prepare the earth^[e] in this way, providing people with grain.⁽ⁱ⁾

You soften it with showers and bless its growth, soaking its furrows and leveling its ridges.^(j)

You crown the year with Your goodness; Your ways overflow with plenty.^[f](k)

The wilderness pastures overflow, and the hills are robed with joy.^(l)

The pastures are clothed with flocks and the valleys covered with grain.^(m) They shout in triumph; indeed, they sing.⁽ⁿ⁾

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth!^(a)

Sing about the glory of His name; make His praise glorious.^(b)

Say to God, "How awe-inspiring are Your works! Your enemies will cringe before You because of Your great strength.^(c)

All the earth will worship You and sing praise to You. They will sing praise to Your name."^(d) Selah

Come and see the wonders of God;^(e) His acts for humanity are awe-inspiring.

He turned the sea into dry land, and they crossed the river on foot.^(f) There we rejoiced in Him.^(g)

He rules forever by His might; He keeps His eye on the nations.^(h) The rebellious should not exalt themselves.⁽ⁱ⁾ Selah

Praise our God, you peoples; let the sound of His praise be heard.^(j)

He keeps us alive^[a] and does not allow our feet to slip.^(k)

For You, God, tested us; You refined us as silver is refined.^(l)

You lured us into a trap; You placed burdens on our backs.^(m)

You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us out to abundance.^[b](n)

I will enter Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows^(o)

that my lips promised and my mouth spoke during my distress.^(p)

I will offer You fattened sheep as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will sacrifice oxen with goats.^(q) Selah

Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me.^(r)

I cried out to Him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue.^(s)

If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.^(t)

However, God has listened; He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.^(u)

May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.^(v)

May God be gracious to us and bless us; look on us with favor^(a) Selah

so that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.^(b)

Let the peoples praise You, God; let all the peoples praise You.^(c)

Let the nations rejoice and shout for joy, for You judge the peoples with fairness and lead the nations on earth.^(d) Selah

Let the peoples praise You, God, let all the peoples praise You.^(e)

The earth has produced its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.^(f)

God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear Him.^(g)
