Introduction
1:2 instruction; (i-5) 'Wisdom' here and in ver. 7 is chokmah . 'Instruction' means also, 'correction,' 'warning,' 'discipline,' Job 36:10 .

17:4 liar (i-9) Lit. 'falsehood.'

17:7 speech (k-2) Lit. 'lip.' [man]; (l-7) Or 'a fool,' Nabal . see ch 1.7. As Psalms 14:1 , and ch. 30.22.

17:8 stone (m-6) Lit. 'stone of favour.'
