Historian, antiquary, born Auray, Brittany, 1804; died Paris, France, 1886. As a young Jesuit he was forced into exile by the French government and was ordained in Switzerland. He designed Saint Patrick's Church, Montreal, and was the founder and architect of Saint Mary's College.
