(Heb. Addar', אִדָּר, ample or splendid, otherwise [from the Chald. אַדִּר ] threshing-floor; Sept. Ἀρέδ v. r. Ἀδίρ, Vulg. Addar), a son of Bela and grandson of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:3); elsewhere (Genesis 46:21) called ARD (q.v.). (See ATAROTH-ADDAR); (See HAZAR-ADDAR) .
