a Presbyterian minister, was born in Washington County, Pennyslvania, July 10, 1776. He studied at various schools; became pastor of Upper and Lower Sandy and Fairfield Church, Kentucky, in 1802; in 1805 of Rehoboth and Round Hill; in 1810 preached at Uniontown, Pennsylvania; in 1823 became pastor at Wheelbig, Virginia; in 1830 at Newark, Ohio, where he continued twenty years, and died at Wheeling, May 9, 1853.
