When bright young minds can't afford college, America pays the price.

I haven't gone to college yet and I intend to in a few years.

It takes most men five years to recover from a college education, and to learn that poetry is as vital to thinking as knowledge.

The fact is if we do our job right, if we keep worrying not about polls but about the jobs of the American people, about their health care, about their ability to educate their kids, stay in their homes and own their homes, send their kids to college, the basic pillars of a middle-class life, if we keep worrying about the future and building a stronger future for this country, these things will take care of themselves.

I come from a modest background. I put myself through college and law school and a postdoctorate program in tax law.

Pre-teens, teens and college students have unlimited access to the Internet - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Because of the repeated exposure they have to illegal Internet gambling sites, they fall victim by the thousands.

When I was in college I was accused of being a goody two-shoes. But every goody two-shoes has a bad side.

If I'd stayed at college I would have become a teacher.

I believe that we parents must encourage our children to become educated, so they can get into a good college that we cannot afford.

These children should be enrolled in Independent Living programs designed by state and local governments to prepare them to enter the workplace, or attend college, and successfully manage their lives.

When I was in college, I used to write little ditties and short stories and poetry for my friends. Writing a book is another thing. It is so much different from my traditional day of dirty fingernails and greasy hair and hot pans.

I was working all the time I was in college. I was working so much that I could hardly do my college work.

I started when I was in college because I was shy and thought it would be a good way to break out of that.

There was some scene in The Blues Brothers movie, when they had the chicken wire across the front of the stage, and it was almost like that. They had a big guard rail around the stage, which kept the college kids from getting on... we had some good times.

To me, all writing is like music. And especially dialogue. I studied music in college; that is what I wanted to be, a composer. Acting got me sidetracked.

Like anyone who goes to college, you're leaving a familiar surrounding and a comfortable environment and your friends and everything, and you're starting fresh. It can be pretty daunting.
