I'm a Republican, by the way.

If we don't like what the Republicans do, we need to get in there and change it.

The Republican Party is in charge. They've been charge of the Congress and spending for 10 years.

This program that the Republican majority has taken us toward as a country is leading us to fiscal bankruptcy.

Now, so, if you want to blame someone for wasteful spending, the Republicans are in the majority.

Unfair trade agreements, passed by both Republicans and Democrats, have sent millions of jobs to other countries. We need to stop this hemorrhaging and find ways for American workers to compete in the new market.

This is a race in a heavily Democratic state that, for a Republican candidate, will require full-time devotion in order to win... I could not be a senator and a father during this campaign. I could only be a candidate.

The reality is we talk a lot about it, but we really don't give everyone an opportunity to buy into it, and this combines both the best of Republican and Democratic ideals.

Republicans believe largely in the market working, Democrats believe stereotypically that you've got to give people something. So why not give people a chance to let the market work for them.

I expect the Republicans will enjoy a large bounce out of their convention. They're here wrapping themselves in the 9/11 flag, which I think is inappropriate in many ways, but it's their choice.

It is not safe in the republican form of government that clannishness should exist either by compulsory or voluntary reason. It is not good for the government and it is not good for the individual.

Republicans are pushing legislation forward that will improve the effectiveness of and bring more accountability to U.S. foreign assistance around the world and bring democracy even further into the light.

What's troubling is that the Republicans to defend Mr. DeLay are weakening the ethics process.

Now, most of the time I'm going to agree with the Democrats and disagree with the Republicans.

But on those occasions when I do strongly disagree with the Democrats and I don't say anything, I think I forfeit my right to have people pay attention to me when I say the things that I don't like about what Republicans are saying.

It is, of course, further indication that a fundamentalist right has really taken over much of the Republican Party, People might cite George Bush as proof that you can be totally impervious to the effects of Harvard and Yale education.

But in the right-wing media, they do have a right-wing bias. And they also have an agenda. So their agenda is: we're an adjunct of the Republican Party, and we're going push that agenda every day, and, as you say, brand these stories that help further the right-wing cause.

If terrorists succeeded in using a weapon of mass destruction against the U.S. or one of our allies, it would likely have catastrophic consequences for our cherished republican form of government.

The Democrats and Republicans are the same guy admiring themself in the mirror.

A Democrat has to show the toughness to govern. People don't doubt that Republicans will be tough.
