Martyr, born Paris, France, 1606; died Saint John's village, Canada, 1649. He joined the Society of Jesus, 1624, went to Canada; 1636, and remained there for 14 years. During the Iroquois attack on Saint John's village he was slain. Beatified, June 21, 1925.
