Niph`al Perfect 3 plural consecutive וְנִצְרְבוּ Ezekiel 21:3 all faces shall be scorched.
צָרַב not used in Kal; prop. (as I suspect) i.q. גָּרַב (as to the interchange of the letters ג and צ see last remark under, page 698 ), to scratch, to be scabby, rough; whence צָרֶבֶת No. 1.
(2) to be dry, burned up (as to the connection of these significations, see under חָרַר ).
Niphal, to be burned, scorched, Ezekiel 21:3. Kindred are שָׂרַף, סָרַף. Chald. צְרָבָה a burning.
