Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

רָפַשׂ (which are used without distinction) fut. יִרְפּשֹׁ Ezekiel 34:18, 32:2, to tread with the feet; especially to disturb water by treading; cogn. to רָמַס.

Niphal, Proverbs 25:26, מַעְיָן נִרְפָּשׂ “a troubled fountain.”

Hithpael הִתְרַפֵּס prop. to let oneself be trampled under feet, i.e. to prostrate oneself. Proverbs 6:3; Psalms 68:31, מִתְרַפֵּס בְּרַצֵּי כֶסֶף “prostrating himself with fragments of silver,” i.e. submissively offering (for tribute) pieces of silver.
