אַרְנֶבֶת f. epicen. a hare, Leviticus 11:6; Deuteronomy 14:7. Arab. أَرْنَبُ, Syr. ܐܰܪܢܶܒܳܐ id. See Bochart, Hieroz. i.994, seq., who regards this quadriliteral as being compounded of אָרָה to pluck, to crop, and נִיב produce.
